Nearly 100 exhibitors, breeders and producers offering foie gras, poultry, capons, ducks, wines, sweets and other delicacies on the foire du gras in Castelnaudary (1st weekend in December) and Belpech (2nd weekend December).

from the Castelnaudary "foire au gras"...

Castelnaudary also hosts a gourmet market and a Christmas market. A cassoulet meal, with music, bringing together more than 500 people each year in the Halle aux Grains. You will find the "Foire au Gras" menu in the restaurants of the city.

… to Belpech…

Belpech organizes a foie gras and traditional dish competition on the Saturday. The Brotherhood of "Les Salsaïrés" accompanies the event. On Sunday morning, the market takes place and ends with the traditional gourmet meal, hosted and served by the festival committee, to the delight of more than 650 participants.

… Passing through Saint-Julia-de-gras-Capou (Occitan for fat chicken!)

Every year Saint Julia organizes a capon fair on the Sunday before Christmas.

This event, which has a very long pedigree, revives the medieval history of the town and offers poultry produced locally for the holidays.

All starting at Villefranche de Lauragais

The first foire du gras held in the area is at Villefranche de Lauragais in November.
